I have added an article about testing the package UI, esp. the dependency popup to http://en.opensuse.org/YaST/Development/Misc. 'deptestomatic.multi' from package libzypp-testsuite-tools is used to read a solver test case and to create the package UI which shows the popup with unresolved dependencies. There are also some test cases available now in libzypp-testsuite-tools-data.
