I'm working on input validation and have found a quite interesting page with
many
common regular expressions including IP, IPv6, URL, email, file name...
There is even a test page for each regexp so you can test whether a particular
regexp
handles your data as needed (there are usually several regexps for the same
thing,
some are short and simple, some are very complex but more accurate).
So before creating your own regexp look at
