Sorry for being late on this, I was a little bit busy and forget to
check the email.

That say, let me suggest something likely controversial: maybe you can
find the inspiration in the web development libraries and/or techniques.
Web developers has been facing the UI problems for decades, so they
learned to simplify thing by the hard way. I'm sure we can learn
something from the web development experience.

I have no clears ideas now, but the Elm architecture[1, 2],  React (and
its design principles)[3, 4], Vue[5] (Or Vue, or whatever) could be a
good starting points.

Hope it helps. I will come here with other ideas if I find something
more :)
