Similar to Cde Kabelo I am very disapointed with terror lekota, his
interpretation if the clause of the freedom charter which says, The people
shall govern' is totaly illinformed in the current situation. The question of
killing for an individual did not arise because the ANC YL did not want the
people to govern but arise from the fact that Likota and his cronies within the
government of the movement were taking steps that the individual that they did
not like, the individual that happened to be the presendent of the ANC elected
by people ( who shall govern in terms of the freedom charter). The statement
that seemed to imply that we are ready to kill for JZ was in response to their
campaign to make sure that JZ does not become the president of the republic. So
the view was protecting the mandate of people ( who shall govern in terms of
the freedom charter) from things that they ( likota and his cronies) were and
are still doing. So likota should not
interpret the freedom charter like a lawyer or a politician wanting to protect
his narrow ends.

Also on the issue of the attack on the judiciary, the judiciary was not
attacked but was being protected from perpetual intervention by them  ( likota
and his cronies). The statements made agianst the judiciary were basically
calling it into order so that it takes into account that it will not be used
for as a tool for political campiagn. The Nicholson judgement confirms this
point. lastly we have never said that JZ is innocent, but we said his
constitutional right of being innocent until proven guilty were being violated
mainly because the likotas of this world were trying by all means to influence
the decision of the Judges against JZ. JZ was convicted ( because of the
likotas of this world) guilty until he proves himself innocent. On that
situation why cant we call the judiciary into order?

Subject: [YCLSA Discussion] let lekota move

Amakomanisi!!

Comrades, i am deeply touched  and concerned about the behaviour of Cde former
chair (Terror Lekota), of cause this is not a unilateral move, but he is just a
porn to ignate war and confusion within the ANC.

let me point that Cde Terror is now raising a very controvesial issue,
regarding the Tripatite Alliance. in his statement he blutantly disregard the
SACP 'ANC is Not SACP and the SACP is not ANC' , ofcause legally, by vertue of
independent constitutions, these are two organisation, but comrade need to be
reminded that, politically these two organization have been bonded by the basic
guiding document of our revolution, the freedom charter, and continued working
together as tripatite allience. however, it has been the trend of the Mbeki-led
ANC to isolate the two political organisations, now coming explicit in the
public and to general members of the movement.

This has been the act that continued to reduce the ANC as a political party. i
dont expect cde terror to share the same sentiments with me on this one and
thats because he clearly stated that he is not a member of SACP, even though
that on its own raises a question on the said understanding of history of the
movement by cde terror. Allow me comrade to say that, Cde terror (not alone)
does have a problem with the SACP in particular. in his statement
he finger-point Cde Mantashe as the dual leader to both ANC and SACP as if its
unconstitutional and unfamiliar to the culture of the movement, whereas the ANC
welcomes everyone who commits him/herself to its principles.

The acts of Cde Lekota and his cronies are imbued by the selfishness, arrogance
and the hunger for power. in my view, this is due to the shift within the
movement, the correct one for that matter. the fact that the allience is now
intact in persuence of the NDR, result in cde Lekota and those within the
movement who shares his bealive to feel unwelcomed and feel to attack the
organization. if Cde Lekota respect and uphold democrary like he claim to do,
he should beggin to respect the decisions of the democratically ellected
leadership by the members of ANC, not to mention the due processes within the
movement. He is now a member of ANC, wether former chair or not, therefore he
should follow the internal processes of the movement, he is now popular in the
media because the ANC deployed him as the Minister of Defence, anyone
can occupy shuch position but the ANC decides.

Cde Terror, do not bring confusion within us. ANC is in good leadership and ANC
is correct.

lets continue to engage.

Matimba!!
