Comrade Kombisa, I don't understand why you would elevate
Terror's utterances to legitimate concerns. Terror is
completely out of order and I will tell you why:

1. Comrade Terror presided over an NEC where comrades
increasingly became afraid to raise issues contrary to
those of the '96 Class Project namely the lack of voices
during dressing down of the highly respected cadre of our
movement Cde Rolihlahla Mandela who paid for this
liberation with his life and his family; the lack of voices
after embarassment of Cde Winnie Madikizela-Mandela during
that fateful June 16 celebration; the lack of voices when
Cde Gedleyihlekisa was called a "boy" and asked if he was
challenging Mr Mbeki for the Presidency and instructed to
release that memorable out-of-the-blue statement that he
was not available for the ANC Presidency; the lack of
voices when Mr Mbeki said in Parliament, " Does a virus
cause a syndrome?" which we all understood to mean HIV does
not lead to AIDS; the lack of voices when our people
continued to succumb to HIV and AIDS; the lack of voices
when Mr Mbeki consistently refused to hold discussions with
any of the Alliance structures when we were informed he was
tired from his numerous overseas trips.

Is he raising legitimate concerns when we learnt that a
company in which he is a shareholder acquired a tender
worth over R100 million from the Department of Defence and
his punishment was the loss of two months salary? I ask you
now if that punishment fitted the crime. Do we really have
to entertain a person who joined the UDF from AZAPO, simply
because he wanted to lead? He is now advocating for a new
party simply because we no longer want to be led by people
of his ilk?

Whatever you do, do not turn a blind eye to the challenges
that the Alliance has had to face in getting a chance to
hold qualitative discussions with the ANC since 1996. If
you prefer not to see, please do not involve us in your
choice to have a selective memory.
