The problem is when a parent wants the whole country to run their families
the way he is running his. It was shoking for an advocate to make such
assertions in a national newspaper, pity he was allowed space to write
such trash. But goign tthroughthe whole artivle, one can see what the
learned advocate was trying to say, that JZ should have stopped COSAS from
staging the march and that it see the ANC president enjoys it when people
do "wrong" things in his name. The advocate knows quite well that he
cannot prescribe to COSAS and any other political formattion on how they
should do their activities, Zille was saying we must abondon the NDR.

In our quest to have voting age lowered, we are then confronted by such
parenting, we do not agree with that view, any person can stand up and air
their political views, irrespective of age. It is incumbent on us to
challenge such views and ensue that we politicise the youth of the country
as much as possible, otherwise we would be going the European route of
youth apathy, if such views are to be taken serious. The advocate, might
want to stick to what he knows best (if he really do), and leave parenting
to others who are capable to do it.
