Fellow Members

We have seen in the period massive exchanges around "Congress of Rich People"
and we think it is appropriate to channel our energies on how far have we
exposed Swaziland Regime over what it is doing to its own people.

We were recently in Manzini for Collective Bargaining Workshop amist the
declaration of War on Political Organisations by the Prime Minister for our
Comrades to be regarded as Terrorist. We need to share the pain with the
hard, tough times of Apartheid Regime of eliminating our voices of
resistance.Comrades suffered during that time,it unfortunate that the "Congress
of Rich People" have forgotten so easy.

Unionist continue to transfered,intimidated,beaten,detained,arrested,banned for
voicing their
dissatisfaction around Human Rights,Labour Rights against the system that
benefits few people.

Swaziland people continue to show more anger against the regime; We witnessed
the "Students Black Wednesday" which was a commemoration of November 14
1990,where a number of Students were injured and one died. Many people will
think running to church or library is safe but thaty day Students came out
bleeding from the libraries.

Secondly, the Prime Minister went as far as banning Political Organisations and
members of Unions were datained on wednesday when they demended to attend the
meeting to addressed by the PM.They were told they were not on the list but
issues to be addressed were related to the Safety Sector which we organize and
offer support through COSATU.This acts of brutality needs to be exposeed to
SADC/AU to act accordingly.

Thirdly, the President of PUDEMO,Cde Mario remain arrested due to charges of
amongst others critisizing the regime, terrorist acts which are geared to
suppress the people's voice.

How far will we continue to see our own African Brothers and Sisters suffering
in our own background?

We need to rally around the SOLIDARITY ACTIONS ORGANIZED BY COSATU TO MOUNT
PRESSURE TO THE REGIME TO CHANGE AND PROVIDE CONDITIONS FOR DIALOGUE.

It is not yet UHURU!!!!
