I agree with Cde Alex on this matter. I do not see why we should worry ourselves about the 3rd Degree vote results, which inmy view were not a true reflectlion of support base of any organization. Yes, it is true that we must continue to mobilize towards strengthenening the YCL and ensuring that the masses of our young people understand and identify with our cause. But this should not imply that we, in any way, consider the outcomes of the 3rd Degree results as a barometer of gauging our mass support.
Shikotas are desperate at the moment, and they will use any platform to try and create an impression that they have got a mass following of the South Africans. They will therefore will not mind investing huge amounts of money in purchasing airtime for their leutenants to vote during the 3rd Degree debate. I equate this to the Telkom Charity Cup voting system in the PSL, where you will find smaller teams with no proven popular support, leading the bigger teams with a huge margin of votes.
