Morning cdes I think this is the correct decision we must at all time uproot
the elements of counter-revolution within our broader movement. We can not
spend resources in building leaders that will cross floor any counter-
revolutionary tendencies must be identified before its too late.

Subject: [YCLSA Discussion] CPUT President is SHIKOTA

I am honored to know people in "high" places.

I am told that the CPUT President deployed by SASCO is a SHIKOTA and that he
was recalled by SASCO a month back but he is REFUSING to be recalled.
He wants to lead by force.

Below is the letter written by his CSRC to him.

Read:

To: Anda Bici
From: CSRC of CPUT.

This communiqué serves to inform you about the decision taken by the CSRC in an
urgent meeting held on the 4th December 2008 at Cape Town Campus SRC Board Room.

The CSRC wishes that you will accept the decision taken by the above mentioned
meeting which is to release you Mr. Anda Bici as CSRC President from your
duties and responsibilities as from the 5 December 2008. The CSRC will convene
its Disciplinary Process against you and therefore request you not to continue
with your responsibilities as President of CSRC until the process is finished.
This therefore includes the benefits entitled for the CSRC President, including
the CSRC President vehicle.
This will assist the CSRC Disciplinary process as we wish that you would not
intervene with our work. The CSRC will in time to time communicate with you in
its fact finding mission in reaching to the Disciplinary Hearing.

The CSRC has reached this particular resolution based on the following
reasons:
* According to section 11.2.4, of the CPUT SRC Constitution it states
that, a member of the CSRC and LSRC shall cease to be a member if and when he/
she: fails, without a reasonable explanation that is acceptable to the CSRC or
LSRC to carry out such duties as may be entrusted to him/her;
* Breached the SRC Constitution section 4, by not abiding with some of the
guiding principles of the SRC which are:
1. Cooperative governance
2. Accountability
3. Transparency
4. Democracy
* Creating divisions in the CSRC and LSRC's by abusing your office as
President to command certain SRC members not to do SRC work unless commanded by
you, which we classify as Autocracy and factionalism.
* Misrepresents the CSRC collective views in many Institutional Committees
and sub- council committees, which defeats the mandate of the electorate.
* Cons-pirating against the members of the CSRC by alleging that they are
corrupt without proof (Secretary General and Student Services Officer in
particular)
* Refuses to attend CSRC Executive Committee meetings called by Secretary
General.

Furthermore the CSRC received a communiqué and it was tabled in the meeting,
from the South African Students Congress (SASCO) which is an organization that
submitted your name to the institution and the IEC to represent it in the
proportional representation of the CSRC. The communiqué states that in its
internal processes SASCO decided to withdraw you as its deployee. As the
executive we therefore resolved that you be released on the structure of the
CPUT CSRC because of the fact that it's a proportionally represented structure
not a structure contested by individuals. The letter from SASCO clearly states
to the executive that your organization has lost confidence in you.

It is therefore our wish to inform you that the Deputy President Mr.
Tinyiko Jimmy Masondo will be fulfilling his Constitutional responsibilities to
act as the CSRC President until the matter is resolved by the CSRC Disciplinary
Hearing.

It is in this light that we inform you that Mr. T Molaolwa (Chairperson of Cape
Town Campus) and Mr. L Mzizana (Secretary General of CSRC) will be attending
the Council meeting on behalf of the student body.

We wish to inform you that CSRC has taken this decision with the interests of
the CPUT, students' interest, cooperative governance, CPUT community at large
and the integrity of CPUT and the CSRC. We believe that by releasing you the
CSRC will operate properly and it will not be undermined.

Kindly Regards
