The ANC Secretary General announced that the ANC withdraw court processes regarding the name COPE and the IEC in Western Cape (by-elections). I accept this as an informed decision, I also hope that comrade Percy and all others comrades will welcome this decision. In as much as Congress of the People form part of our history but we were running short of legal substance, to argue in the court of law why Lekota's tuck shop could not use the name COPE. With regard to the IEC, the ANC comrades in Western Cape were lazy, so we can't sue the IEC for that. Following the decision communicated by the SG yesterday in relation to the State of the Western Cape Provincial Structures, the ANC will be working very hard to strengthen its capacity to mobilize and overcoming what ever challenges that might have existed in that province. Let us make the ANC a winning team as always been happening. Ours is to focus on election programme, deliver to the expectations of the people of South Africa and address all their concerns to the fullest.
