There is nothing wrong in admitting unconditionally that you were wrong and then proceed to apologize unconditionally. You are human, you make mistakes like everybody. But it is in the honest recognition of your mistake that you can redeem yourself and be accepted in society again; and still your pride will remain intact and undiminished. It is that easy.
