From: sive gumenge <[email protected]> Subject: [YCLSA Discussion] SAUS To: [email protected] Date: Tuesday, April 28, 2009, 1:54 PM Greetings, I just want to congratulate all people nominated and elected to lead SAUS. My worry with that structure is that it does not have absolute independency and the manner leadership is nominated, is not of the best interest of young people in South Africa but it's in the interests of the few minority. If all institutions can be affiliated to SAUS and then political parties stop interefering with it, then it would be very effective and be able to play its role properly. The reason student governance is collapsing in most institutions, it's because of unneccessary political intereference caused by those who are not in governance at the time. If comrades continue to further their terms of office by using other people to "front" for them, then thats were the problem would be. I hope that this SAUS NEC will be very much effective compared to other SAUS NEC's and play a meaningful role. Forward to student governance Forward.
