Greetings Comrade Zondi We have not spoken to each other since the last KZN Provincial Congress in 2008 held at Westville. As you will remember, we both served together in the KZN PEC. I still have your numbers, which you gave to me when I visited the KZN Provincial Congress. I am sure, you were aware that I had not attended the KZN Provincial Congress last year as a PEC member, nor as a student from DUT. You will also remember that in the Congress at which I stepped down as a PEC member which was beginning of last I had already left KZN, but had been requested to finish my term.
I have recently noticed that you were enquiring on the YCLSA discussion forum about why I was elected on the SAUS NEC, because I no longer study nor am I SRC in DUT. I find this rather alarming. I am sure that you do have my contact numbers. If they may have been lost to you because you had either lost your phone or deleted them, you have many people around you who could give you my contact numbers. Now if you genuinely needed information, you could have contacted me. With the abundance of resources at the hands of SASCO in PMB you would have been able to do this: It would only be impossible if you did not intend seeking clarity from me but sought cheap publicity by pulling a stunt! I wonder why you did not raise the issue you had with me, because we continued to have conversations even after I left the Provincial Conference, and if I remember properly, you wanted me to assist you register at UJ, because you knew I had been studying there in 2008. You will remember that since last year at the outbreak of COPE I and other comrades were deployed to the Eastern Cape as part of an ANC delegation sent there to defend our political base and ensure that ANC work continues despite our structures being infested by COPE moles. I told you this fact when we met at the KZN Provincial Conference. I am sure you remember. As a result of the importance of the work we were doing, I could not re-register at UJ, I opted to register at UNISA because registering at UJ would have meant not finishing our very important task. For your information. The constitution of SAUS does not preclude former SRC members from being elected into the NEC, provided that two years have not elapsed since they were last in office, or it is within a year. However, the SAUS constitution allows serving NEC members to be re-elected in office even though they may not have been immediately SRC's. Lastly; I was re-elected into the NEC of SAUS because the NWC of SASCO said so. Many comrades know and knew that I was not available for the NEC of SAUS, but I confirmed my availability because I respected the highest organ of our movement, despite the fact that this contradicted my personal plans. Probably comrade Zondi you should come out in the open. Your issue, is not about my deployment to SAUS, but is about the dissafection you have always felt towards Magasela (SASCO SG) which has been there since we were in the PEC together. I see, you have made a name for yourself attacking Magasela in the YCLSA discussion forum, accusing him of contesting Mawethu. That is for you to ponder, I do not have a problem with you having your own issues with Magasela. In the line of work cadres by omission or commission do end up crossing each other. But please, your issues with Magasela must not manifest themselves as attacks on me. As a cadre of the movement, I am very busy with ANC branch work. Pardon me if I did not get an opportunity to read nor respond to your rantings on the YCLSA discussion forum, because they needed that sort of dignity. I have decided to send this response to you and the discussion forum because it is the platform you used to pose questions, it is only fair if the answer is delivered to the same postal address you had elected to use! It is up to you to respond to me through the manner you know you can reach me or you can proceed and respond through the YCLSA discussion forum, but I am sure, you know very well the direction our relationship as cadres drifts towards if you elect to use such uncomradely ways to engage me or engage on issuees about me!
