*REMINDER: YCLSA HOLDING ITS NATIONAL COMMITEE MEETING*

The National Committee of the Young Communist League of South Africa
[uFasimba] is holding its ordinary Plenary Session of the National Committee
of the 2nd National Congress which started yersterday Friday 29 May –until-
Sunday 31 May 2009. The Plenary Session of the National Committee will be
first after the watershed April 22 elections and electoral victory of the
ANC led Alliance.

The Plenary Session will receive Political and Organisational reports which
will focus on assessing the elections campaign, the challenges and tasks
faced by the new administration led by President Jacob Zuma in the midst of
global financial crisis and its impact on ordinary South Africans.

The Plenary Session will amongst others discuss the following;

   - SABC Board
   - JSC vs Judge Hlophe matter
   - Banning of Labour Brokers and the creation of Decent Work for the youth
   - Radical transformation of Higher Education and the rolling out of Free,
   quality education for the poor
   - Deployment and Accountability of SACP and YCL cadres in the State
   - Telkom/Vodacom/Vodafone Deal
   - National Youth Development Agency [NYDA]

The Plenary Session will further receive and discuss a proposed Youth Month
Programme which will be adopted by the Plenary Session of the National
Committee of the 2nd National Congress.
