FRIENDS OF JACOB ZUMA TRUST (GAUTENG PROVINCE) HANDS OFF THE INDEPENDENCE OF THE COURTS!
Tuesday, June 09, 2009 We as the Friends of Jacob Zuma Trust in Gauteng calls on the Democratic Alliance and its faceless collegues in conniving against our cadres to stop their ongoing disrespect for institutions of democracy and the law. Since prior to the democratic elections in our country few Months ago, while launching their flopped campaign called “Stop Zuma campaign” masters and madams of the democratic alliance in the North West were equally launching a similar campaign against the ANC and its cadres, in the process the Democratic Alliance demonstrated openly that they have no respect for the laws of the country. For instance in Potchefstroom the DA led by their Provincial leaders gathered at the Potchefstroom magistrate court where in which Comrade Kaizer Mohau is facing a charge of calpable homicide in which regrettably so, a life of a young boy was lost - The Democratic Alliance mobilized its tiny little support to protest against the courts for what they call – a campaign against “sympathy for Comrade Kaizer more than the victim campaign” something the DA leader falied to explain in the local and Provincial media as to its political significance. The Democratic Alliance had a picket in front of the Potchefstroom court with placards written “ Mohau is not above the law”, in the first place who said Kaizer Mohau is above the law and based on what? Our view is that the DA is just politicizing a purely civil matter – theirs is just to create an impression that they do care for Black families, while at the same time they mocked the family which under the circumstances needed to be left to grieve not to be used as political pawns by a Party that never visit Black families unless if there is something for it and in this case the 2009 elections. As Comrade Kaizer is appearing in the same court tomorrow, Wednesday, 10 June 2009, we call on the DA to desist from indulging in actions which are aimed at undermining our democracy, constitution, the Law and Human rights of individuals. Their conduct is typical of a degenerating Liberal and racist political party, frustrated and intoxicated by their fear of the majority of our people and the democratic process unfolding in our country to their disappointment led by Comrade Jacob Zuma. We shall ensure that our Comrades and structures in and around the North West Province provide their support to our own – based on the principle of “innocence until proven guilty by a court of law” not by the Kangaroo courts of Nazist racists, and their political voices in the media.
