Dear Comrades
CONFED has taught us lessons on becoming conscious of who we are.I have been
following the debate on whether to Ban or Not to Ban the Vuvuzela and I have
not found any sense in the aurgument (against it).I went to the Egypt v Italy
game and was quite impressed by the South African horn and the touch of the
Mexican Waves combined.It was awesome.(Ask the Egyptian Goalkeeper about
Vuvuzela's that made him to stop the Italian goals and made their trousers go
down)
And I guess it was the same in other games played around the country.
Quite frankly some say it is tune less and monotonous and what more can they
provide than that.Stadiums are a place to laugh,cheer,smile,get pressure borne
out of unbecoming results and celebrate there after.People who go to stadium
and smoke dagga were no where to be seen and it must be upheld.
Unfortunately, I saw a young girl who was drunk to even stand on one leg and
thought maybe is because people come already being drunk and there is no
breathelizer for such incidents!
Whatever that happened,I was made to become proud of our beautiful country and
the hospitality it provides.Literally walking in Joburg at 23H00 was cool.
Thanks to our Policemen and women,who have never disappointed.We need such
Ministers who are tough,bolt and factual in their security analysis in the
country.We need to conduct more lessons on the value of good citizenry to deal
with few hiccups that we detected during the CONFED especially the "Egyptian
Fiasco"
