Greetings, I agree comrades, i have a suggestion that i will propose to the PYA leadership components in order to deal with these matters from the core. There are various issues that continue to play as a catalyst to all these tendencies from within, these differences are used by those moles to please their masters in defeat of the progressive forces. So comrades until we achieve unity of purpose, individualism will still continue to surface. I therefore do not wish to forward my views in this forum as i am still in a forced exile ( Interdicted) by the same CPUT management. We dare not giving up to the bourgoisie and the middle class dictates as they wish us to submitt employing every apartheid tactic to silence dissent. Never shall we have some states within a state.
Amandla!!! >>> sive gumenge <[email protected]> 06/24/09 3:34 PM >>> Greetings, I think Cde Nndwamato is very correct. At some stage as student leaders we need to create consultation forums with those that deploy us and angage issues that affect us at the governance level. However, if them, themselves show no interest then we can take it further. At CPUT, i do not think that the matter of governance collapsing, arises from this current leadership. It has been there for sometime and this current leadership, then is experiencing a total blow of the punch. I think Cdes like Musa, Zondi, Given, Phelekwa, Miz, etc will be able to inforom as to what transpired during their term of office. There is no proper governance structure at CPUT that congress movement can claim. Also, i think SASCO should also take the blame for this. In 2005 when the merger started, we were given enough time to craft a governance model and we failed till pasma took over and with management they crafted it. So, now, i think the issue of victimization could have been fought and prevented if we have a proper SRC Constitution. I think the provincial leadership of PYA then has an important responsibility to look into the issue of CPUT governance issue. We must go beyond this current SRC and find mechanisms of dealing with the future governance. I don't think time is on our side now but i think we have time to prepare for the next SRC elections and by the looks of things we will need serious external intervention to deal with them. In essence, Cde Palza, i agree that CPUT needs attention from congress movement.
