COMRADE JULIUS MALEMA OWES NO APOPOGY TO ANYONE

By: Kaizer Mohau

It puzzles me how the media reports on the issue of an apology which
is being demanded from the President of the African National Congress
Youth League, Cde Julius Malema.

The media reports on this issue in a manner that is consistent with
the media conduct during the actual rape trial which was faced by the
then Deputy President of the ANC and the current President of both the
ANC and the Republic.

Moving from the premise that the women who accused Cde Jacob Zuma of
rape is a “rape victim” on its own reflect one sidedness on the part
of the media. It is mainly to perpetuate the wrong view that the women
was indeed correct – despite a decision by a court of law that the
women was indeed not telling the truth.

But more confusing is the case itself against Cde Julius Malema –
naturally one would have expected organisations like Sonke Gender
Justice Network to advocate gender justice not injustices. The fact
that the judge in the rape trial came to a conclusion that Cde Jcob
Zuma was not guilty, on its own should be the point of departure in
dealing with these matters.

Based on this conclusion by Judge Willem Van der Merwe, one is
obviously convinced that the women indeed enjoyed the time she spent –
but due to reasons known to her, Ronnie Kasrills and some of her
political handlers she had to lie about the ANC leader – Period!

We are convinced like the judge, beyond any reasonable doubt that the
woman lied.

Experience dictates that women like men behaves in a particular way
after doing one thing or another – and therefore the behaviour and
conduct of this particular woman is not an exception except of course
the fact that she cried rape after enjoying herself.

The Gender Network should not want to attract attention by being
deceitful to the public especially doing this at the expense of Women,
Mothers, Sisters, Girlfriends and spouses. I am of the opinion that
Cde Julius Malema coming from a democratic movement like the ANC –
understands more than those reactionary gender activists, the
unacceptable conditions within which many women are subjected to and
therefore it will not be proper to think of him as not having respect
for women.

It is the ANC that has adopted the fundamental strategic objectives of
the National Democratic Revolution as coined in three main
contradictions; 1. The national question, 2. The class contradiction
and 3. The gender contradiction based on gender power relations in our
society.

So if all of us are genuine to these ideals than we should all agree
that Cde Juilius is more than correct in his assertion that the woman
enjoyed – to try and cook another verdict as opposed to that of the
Judge is not only inhuman but is equally criminal because the judge
made a sober decision not one based on a passionate hatred of the ANC
and its leaders but one based on factual evidence presented in a court
of law.

Perhaps, we need to take further the issue with this so-called victim of rape.

As for me it is very critical that we request both our foreign Affairs
department and relevant law enforcement agencies to investigate
reasons for that women to be residing abroad at the expense of the tax
payers of this country. In my view there are many real victims of
serious crimes in this country and non of them is enjoying the life
this “special victim” is enjoying.

Our country cannot afford this kind of unnecessary expenses especially
in the face of the international capitalist crisis called world
financial recession which is resulting to many financial problems
particularly in countries like ours.

The money we spend on that woman can easily create employment for at
least sizeable number of young women or maintain two homes for victims
of sexual and physical abuse.

I think our country deserves an explanation as to the real reasons for
that woman to have been sent abroad – and the reasons why we should
keep maintaining her there.

Whether is Judge Van der Merwe’s decision for her to be sent abroad or
Thabo Mbeki’s, I personally careless – but I will argue that our money
should be spend in line with the developmental priorities of my
country including job creation and care for real victims.

As the Friends of Jacob Zuma Trust in Gauteng province, we have for
sometimes now been discussing a possibility of seeking legal advice on
the possibility of petitioning whoever or whatever department is
competent to challenge this woman’s continued sweet life at the
expense of our President’s name.

It is our view that the continuation of her stay abroad will
persistently perpetuates the perception that our President have a dark
cloud over his head – this is partly in the light of continued usage
of her name by some fake gender groups for their sinister interests.
We should once and for all recall this ambassador of liars and
reactionaries.

I wonder what is she telling other nations about our President or more
so how is she talking about our country – but one thing for sure she
is not telling good news.

So how then do we maintain her and her family – for what good reason?

I rest my case!
