 Congrats to minister for buying only 1 car Matankana Mothapo, Letters, The Star, THE SACP condemns attempts by the DA to play off ministers against each other despite the clarification from government on the issue of the purchase of ministerial vehicles. Dr Blade Nzimande has complied with the ministerial handbook which is part of ministerial policy guidelines on ministerial cars. Let's avoid being popular for nothing and face facts. There is nothing wrong with Dr Nzimande for purchasing such a car. He bought only one car and agreed to use a car that was used by the previous minister of education. But such issue is not spoken about. They rather concentrate on the organisation he leads (SACP). Let me be the first to congratulate Dr Nzimande for buying only one car. There were risk assessments conducted by the SAPS before his appointment as minister, dictating measures to strengthen and increase his security. This included the stipulation of cars which were able to meet such requirements.
