> Thanks cde gugu for such explanation of necessity for labour brikering.
It is worrying if at all that is the position of the minister to regulate
the labour brokers instead of scraping them totaly. I listened to cde
Irvin Jim (Numsa general secretar) on tuesday at morning live telling us
that trade unions raised the problems sometime ago and labour brokers
failed to comply to calls by government to correct those problems.
They continue to mislead SA public by creating the impression that if they
are abolished, all workers employed by them may lose jobs. It is not true
because labour brikers do not create jobs but only sell already created
jobs which employers can employ people on theirr own if it was not for
explotation.

Labour brokers promoote explotation ad among the forms of explotation I
can mention the few
-permanent temporary workers(temporary worker for up to 10 years)
-persistent casualisation
-denial to subscribe to trade unions
-inconsistant working conditions
-denial to workers benefits e.g medical aids
-inabilitty to negotiate with employers (no employee-employer relations)
-underpayment
-etc
I think labour brokers must be totally abolished because the regulations
will not assist because already, the labour legislation in SA is full of
loophohes and ass a result workers are exposed to abuse by employers.
