What an extract Its critical that one always understands his/her position(indiviluality) within a collective( organization). The current crop of leaders are obsessed of being in the media(especially) the ANCYL Leadership. One might be forgiven for regarding comrade Malema as a collective(ANCYL), I am grateful that the ANC has now repositioned itself and refrained from this Barbaric practice and utilizes the spokesperson whenever the need arises. Just like a game of chess, In politics,one's move is judged on its impact on the game as a whole and not on how quick one responds or make utterances. Its time the youth wing re-evaluate its positions and launch the necessary campaigns. The ANCYL and YCL are failing us as the SA youth, they are supposed to be engaging the government on education funds,internships programme for the masses of graduates that are lacking the required experience in order to break-even in the labour market. Unfortunately we are fighting the wrong battles, the youth wings are really being used for personal gains. One doesn't need to be an intellectual to understand that Malema is furious over Manamela's inclusion in the parliament ahead of him. Its no wonder that as masses we really without a direction, all the youth wing structures comprises of the : Pres, Deputy pres,Treasure and the secretary who often carries out the duties of a spokesperson. Its time as youth we realign ourselves and seek to achieve the youths interest than being puppets that are only meaningful when the elections approaches.
