To all members of the ANCYL it is common cause that the election of president
comrade Julius Malema in Mangaung became a matter in dispute hence the
intervention by the NWC of the ANC which confirmed him as a leader.
This scenario is in the public domain as it may not be necessary to
give too much details, barely some few months into the presidency there was a
lot of controversy around him for all wrong reasons. I gave him the benefit of
the doubt and personally thought that he will with time mend his ways and
improve his leadership as he was new into the position but I also took a cue
from one of the teachings of Lenin when he says “ the elder generation of
leaders should take care of the younger ones because the latter have theoretical
muddles in their heads and lack revolutionary consistency in their hearts so we
should at all times seek to win them to our side through persuasion and not by
fighting them ” malema’s recent and usual venomous attacks on the elders of the
party the SACP and the ANC that include comrade Blade is out of order in the
extreme comrade Kgalema is also a victim of these attacks, his equation of
uFasimba with cope is a clear sign that this loose cannon doesn’t appreciate
the PYA and the alliance in general and he wants it dead. I am also noting that
some provinces including mine which is Mpumalanga have also joined the fray and
thrown their weight behind their master if indeed newspaper reports are
anything to go by. From where I stand I only view this gesture as a blind
support for one of their own by his sycophants either informed by fear of their
master or is due to reasons that include but not limited to patronage, envy for
power and personal aggrandizement or they were simply ordered by Malema himself
to do so. The core of malema’s style of leadership is fear and intimidation. A
true leader persuades and inspires his
constituency and instills confidence in them. Comrades I must say there is
nothing inspiring about this boy and I have never learned anything positive
since
he was a president of this noble organization of the late comrade Anton
Muziwakhe Lembede and Walter Sisulu. Their undying spirits continually inspires
some of us but now where does malema draw his own inspiration comrades? Clearly
I regret to have been part of the membership which preferred him in Mangaung
and finally elected him into the presidency. We have been led by Vutha or
Mbalula, Zizi, Sihle and many others before him, for instance Vutha was and
still is a radical. During his tenure as president of the ANCYL he was also
diplomatic on issues when conditions dictated as such particularly in dealing
with members of the media but we have never seen a rowdy malema in him because
he knew exactly what to say when to say it and more importantly how to say it.
As I end comrades I have no doubt that the component structures of the alliance
Cosatu and the SACP in particular cannot be cajoled into leaving the ANC the
1996 class project led by Thabo Mbeki tried to do this and failed dismally so
who the hell does malema, his bourgeois and aspiring bourgeois political
handlers and their hangers on think they are in resuscitating this failed
experiment, where are their tools of analysis if any? They are nonentities,
they only have two options with one of them being to discontinue this dirty
project or come 2012 they face their waterloo but even before that maqabane
this individual, malema is a hazard in our organization which if not taken care
of will lead to a man made disaster. Therefore for us to prevent or mitigate
this I am therefore agitating all tough minded members of the ANCYL and calling
upon them for the removal of this boy with immediate effect.
I pause.
