Cmdres, I have held my silence for too long, I have always mentioned my cool when engaged with cmdres about the leadership that is been carried out in the ANCYL. YES JS Malema is my president as I still belong to the YL and yes JG Zuma is my president. I have sad that we should look at the constitution of the YL and then what I think needs to be taken in to account is the way one cares himself in the public, one needs to live and breathe the constitution that governs him as a leader, and I still say if one has business intrest one needs to go and strengthen the institutes that we has like the BEE and so forth, we need leaders that will take pride in their leadership role. Today the SASCO leadership is on strike because they are fighting for the pour young South Africans. Andile I stand on your side on this one Amandla......

I stand here today to declare to every young South African, that this wealth accumulation issue is a serious killer of our leaders and sadly now its becoming clearer that we are capitalist, every man for himself mentality is becoming evident. Therefore if we call ourselves, comrades to Dr. N.R Mandela, Rev. P Seme, Chief Albert Luthuli and the others, we would surely review our reasons to live rather that this lifestyle of wealth accumulation being justified because Julius is living it. Boldly I say South African youth leaders today are definately self centre and selfish in every nature, power drunk and i wonder when will they sober up to lay down their lifes for the people of this country. I always wonder if this youth lived in the time when young people were asked to stop their career pursuits and join UMKHONTO WESIZWE, would this self-centred power hungry, tender chasing youth volunteer for that task or would they even be equal to the task. We are a shame to even call some of the veterans comrades, cause we dont share the passion nor the purpose and counsel they have when they became part of the ANC. Lastly to Julius and nabanye ogxowankulu within our beloved movement I say " If you want to change South African, sell all these unecessary material things, give to the poor, invest more of your money and resource to youth development, please note I said your money, I am sure that more youth will follow that pursuit and we will fight poverty practically and radically so. I am ashamed to call you my comrades, cause trully you are not. Andile w...@h! Mafa Mamber of SASCO MUT, Member of ANC & ANCYL WARD 88 Ethekwini Region SRC Member MUT - Faculties Officer. "He has a right, because these are the privileges and rights that we have fought for," ANCYL Western Cape spokesman Ndoda Ngemntu told a media briefing in Cape Town. "If the opportunity has come for one to prosper, why must we be jealous?" What people should do instead was to seek to emulate the example that figures such as Malema had set for the future and the young people of South Africa, Ngemntu said. Media have focused anew in recent weeks on Malema's assets, which include a R814,000 Mercedes-Benz, an apparently genuine R250,000 Breitling watch, and two homes worth a total of R4.6 million. "We are not saying there is anything wrong with people accumulating wealth, because at the end of the day it is this African National Congress that fought for the distribution of wealth. "It cannot be the situation we're in, [in which] only the few that benefits, only those that are not members of the ANC. "If we are saying as the ANC we are creating a better life, members of the ANC must benefit from the better life." He said it had been populist of Congress of SA Trade Union general secretary Zwelinzima Vavi to "jump up" this week and declare his earnings and assets. Those who declared assets should also say what their wives earned, because some people used relatives as fronts for their own business interests. Provincial league chairman Siyazi Tyatyam said the way Vavi had addressed the issue week was "very narrow". "Because lifestyle is not about the salary. But it's how you live as a comrade. "If you claim yourself to be a communist, if you claim to be the leader of the people... do you live with the people, are people able to engage and get you... as and when they need you?" Tyatyam said the current controversy over Malema's assets was a concerted attempt to silence the league. From: http://www.timeslive.co.za/local/article328412.ece -- You are subscribed.
