Cdes It is very unfortune indeed that in the media, some are more equal than others.Why didn't this story receive so much public attention as the Terreblanche death has recieved.How inconsistent of the media to not give this story the coverage that it deserves.A life taken away like this, its very tragic. When listening or watching the news these days, you could be forgiven for believing that the sky is going to fall.The death of mere racist individual, who brought nothing but pain to the lives of black people particular recieves so much public attention.A seed of an imminent civil war is implanted in the minds of the people by the media, what is this about really? We are faced with many challenges as a nation and as a people, we must not allow to be sidetracked to focus on petty things, as the death of an individual who was so insignificant. By the way, this man that we are supposed to mourn & to offer our condolescences for, never respected or valued the life of a black person.He believed in the oppression , exploitation & the subjugation of a black person.How on earth can we allow ourselves to begin to feel soory & be apologetic for his death?. There are many black workers who suffered under the hands of Terreblanche, & I can never forget the picture of the battered life of the patrol attendent that Terreblanche caused, which was shown on the E-News recently. We must refuse to brainwashed by the media, & be made to believe that black people are angry, & violent people who disregard the lives and proprties of people.This view is very flawed, & it is propagated by the racist people who want us to see ourselves barbaric and inhuman.This terrible thing done by this Karoo farmer, is barbaric and inhuman.I must say, there is something wrong about the state of our democracy.We have not been able to have a dialogue (or we refuse to have the dialogue) on critical issues facing the nation & its people.In the name of national reconciliation & social cohesion (which is very important for the success of the nation by the way) we have not been able to deal with concrete issues such the transformation of the economy and the liberation of all people and black people in particular.This are very critical issues to contend with not the death of Terreblance. Enogh already, life has to, as must go on after the death of the racist individual.

Seven days later Eugene Terre'Blanche's murder was the headline story in the same newspaper and to be fair in many other nwes organisations. The so called civil rights group AfriForum had nothing to say about this (I checked their website). He was due to be sentenced on Friday for killing Elizabeth Martiens in 2007 and molesting two sisters aged 13 and 15 in 2006. But prosecutor Meg Allie asked Judge Vincent Saldanha for a postponement to hear the specialist testimony of a top police psychologist. Botes, owner of three farms in the Leeu-Gamka area between Oudtshoorn and Beaufort West, offered to give Elizabeth a lift to her mother's house in Merweville after she spent the Easter holidays visiting her father, Samuel Martiens, three years ago. Instead, he took the child to an old farmhouse on his farm Weltevrede, where he murdered her and dumped her body in an empty water storage tank, where it was found three months later. Her new school suitcase and her clothing were thrown on her body and set alight. The advanced state of decomposition of Elizabeth 's body prevented any investigation into possible sexual assault. Botes and his wife, Sonette, were arrested in July 2007 on charges of child abandonment after Elizabeth failed to arrive home from her farm visit, but the charges were changed to murder after police found Elizabeth 's body. Sonette then admitted to lying about accompanying her husband on Elizabeth 's last journey, and was convicted and received a suspended jail sentence for perjury. Samuel Martiens said that Botes had betrayed him. "I trusted him. I worked 10 years for him and I never thought for a moment that he would do such a thing to my child."
