It is very much interesting how Enersto Che Guarvara's letter; its content and how historically things turned to be for him as a revolutionary;and to his family that he left materially nothing except the revolutionary government led by Fidel to take full responsibility. His family residing there in Santa Clara, even today, do not regret his decision to leave them in pursuit against imperialism elsewhere. Any wife and children cannot forgive a husband and father who can such a decision!
His reference, in the letter, to the event where a last hour may arrive for him in other skies was prophetic which unfortunately had to be in the same continent of Latin America, in Bolivia. If there is any revolutionary solace and a moral justification of his resoluteness in a course against imperialism, is the fact that Bolivia herself is led by the Left under indigenious President Ivo Morales; and that larger part of Latin America is led by anti imperialist forces so determined to, and busy building an alternative society under the Bolivarian Revolution. Is it not fitting Castro that in the 17th Anniversary of Chris Hani assasination a guerrilla in proximity to Che par excellent, that you revive our memories with that famious letter? As Cuban would say "We want to nbe like Che" as South African revolutionaries we need to say " We want to be like Chris" Sent from my BlackBerry® wireless device -----Original Message----- From: Dominic Tweedie <[email protected]> Date: Thu, 15 Apr 2010 16:35:43 To: <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [YCLSA Discussion] FAREWELL LETTER FROM CHE TO FIDEL CASTRO!
