To all:
Please find a translation of an interesting article posted on the PCV
´s website www.tribuna-popular.com

"Caracas, 14 April 2010. The president of the Republic, Hugo Chavez,
secured that the Communist Party Of Venezuela (PCV) is the only party
left in alliance with the Socialist Unity Party of Venezuela (PSUV,
party of Chavez) for the upcoming parliamentary elections. He
sentenced the Fatherland for All (PPT) party as outside of the
revolutionary project: "the PCV is the only party that we still have
an alliance with, the PPT has gone" said Chavez.

In the opinion of Italo Gonzalez, member of the Political Buro of the
PCV, the situation outlined by Chavez is the result of a deepening of
the revolutionary process and the product of the contraddictions of
class that exist in the country. "In the advancing of the processes,
there are forces that change, that mutate, that adquire new
dimensions, and that start asuming class positions. This is normal for
the historical moment in which Venezuela finds itself" commented
Gonzalez. The Communst representative made it clear that this process
is natural in the state of class struggle and the deepening of the
revolution, and that this arises out of the boosom of the preocess.

For the PCV it is very important to have clear that that the principal
enemy to our revolution is imperailism, and that to confront that, it
is necessary to unite all anti-imperialist forces against the commun
enemy. "We have stated that it is important to create an anti-
imperialist front which has space for all forces, the parties of the
left, social movements, intellectuals, and everyone that is anti-
imperialist" he emphasised.

For the PCV, only time will clear up the dificulties, doubts, and
contradictions that exist in the alliance.

Italo Gonzalez, who is also Director of the Cadre School of the PCV,
in responce to the questions from Tribuna Popular about the positions
that the PPT has assumed, told us that "it is important that the PPT
define publically its plan, political line, and how they see the
national and international situation. These will be very interesting
themes for them to explain to us so we all are clear about thier
positions".

On the stage for the Act of Bolivar yesterday (on the day of the
anniversary of the signing of independance by Simon Bolivar), many
members of the national direction of the PCV were to be seen.

The break between Chavez and the PPT jhas come about as a consequence
of the quitting of the Governer of the State of Lara, Henri Falcon
fromt he PSUV and his new militancy within the PPT ranks. The first
minister Chavez has called this betrayal by the PPT to admit him into
thier ranks."
