Communist cadres, Narrow interests remain the backbone of the current mess - precisely because the 1996 class project spearheaded an agenda to exclude working class people from the economic benefits of the world cup tournament. Both the LOC and government never invited any public comments with regard to participation of black traders, or involvement of small enterpreneurs - let alone devising opportunities in which young people can thrive during the world cup. Instead young people have been reduced to cannon fodders for FIFA. In fact, it does not make sense that the tax-payer's money was used to stage the event but proceeds are exclusively reserved for a particular class. I mean, LOC cannot even reveal how much of money it received and expenditure thereof. I know they will argue autonomy and all sorts of technicalities to hide their shenanigans.
