Be kindly notified that SDC Swaziland has just informed us that members of the
Swaziland trade union movement; SFTU, SFL and SNAT have been arrested together
with COSATU members who are already in Swaziland. It shall be recalled that
tomorrow is the Global day of action and several build-up activities had been
scheduled by SDC Swaziland, the Coordinators of the Global action which were
highly successful and massively attended to by workers, communities and
international patriots.
Amongst those detained are; Fundizwi Sifundza, SFTU National Organiser, Steve
Faulkner, SDC South Africa Convenor and SAMWU International Officer, Mary Da
Silva, SDC Swaziland Co-ordinator, Zanele Matebula, Sikelela Dlamini, SDC
Swaziland Secretary, SDC South Africa member and COSATU Deputy International
Secretary, George Mahlangu, COSATU National Campaigns Coordinator, Christine
Olivier, NUMSA Deputy President, Ntokozo Mbhele, SDC South Africa Secretary,
Muzi Masuku, OSISA Swaziland Programme Manager, Frank Mncina, SATU General
Secretary (Swaziland) and several others whose whereabouts are not yet
accounted
for.
