Amandla! Comrades power hunger have to be seperated from power struggle. The PYA contestetion at UNIZULU has nothing to do with our politics, the politics of the working class; as comrade Mzimela has correctly put it. We have amongst other things, people [ whom conviniently we can callthem- comrades] who just want power regardless of whether the organisation wins[by wining, i mean the loyalty of our people/ students] or lose [by loosing I mean, personification of the organisation].
We have, to some instances; comrades who have overstayed in these universities. These comrades have grown bigger to an extent that they are now bigger than the organisation itself. Thier interest is totally diferent from that of new and potential graduates [who will graduate in record-time] and mislead them i.e. In 2002 when still leading this branch with comrade so and so [random mentioning of former student leaders, some of them who have progressed to other level beyond student/ university politics]. Forgive me my comrades I have to foward my request in attempt to protect the movement. Comrades, our compitency to lead and wanting to lead at the SRC leve MUST NOT LIMIT US from leading at other levels, I mean the MDM. This opsession about SRC election and becaming delegates must be tested against the willingness to be led at ward [branch]level and at other levels respectively. Comradely Yours, Philani (J.
