THE SACP NORTH WEST PROVINCE REJECT IN TOTALITY THE REVOKING OF THE
TERREBLANCHE MURDER SUSPECTS BAIL
Thursday, 07 October 2010

The South African Communist Party (SACP) in the North West province
reject in its totality the revoking by justice Julius Matajane, the
bail given to Chris Mahlangu who is accused of murdering Eugene
Terreblanche.

As the SACP in the North West province we regard this decision as
informed not by justice but by fears and intimidation by the extreme
rightwing AWB. We further regards the decision as a clear position
that our country remains in the hands of apartheid judges and their
prosecutorial collegues in the National Prosecuting Authority which is
nothing but a core of hard core white collar racists, who are
determined in maintaining the apartheid state control within our
democratic dispensation.

To further grant the warrant of arrest for Chris Mahlangu demonstrates
the prosecutorial intransigence that has nothing to do in terms of
respecting the rights of others especially Black workers and the
working class.
We shall as the SACP continue to mobilize support for the poor and the
working class in this province as it is clear that their lives are
regarded as nothing but animals that do not have rights and freedom.

For many people especially the workers and the poor in the North West
province freedom and democracy are nothing but words used to make them
vote after voting their freedom and democracy diminishes.
We are therefore calling on the African National Congress (ANC) to
consider taking this province seriously rather than as if it is a
different country within the borders of South Africa.

In many instances the issues facing the working class and the poor
including their political organizations in this province are not
seriously taken thus we think there is an attempt to lead us into
temptation of making the province ungovernable.
We finally call on all democracy loving South Africans to rally behind
the Terreblanch murder suspects not based on any other thing but for
the principle of upholding the constitution and the constitutional
rights of racism victims like many poor workers and the working class
in this province. The SACP will continue to lobby its alliance
partners on this matter for a comprehensive principled support and
assistance to the racism victims.
