SACP NW STATEMENT ON THE CLASS OF 2010 MATRICULANTS
Wednesday, 27 October 2010

The South African Communist Party (SACP) in the North West
province wishes all the class of 2010 matriculants
successful end of the year final examinations.

As the SACP in the North West province we wish all
matriculants nationally and provincially to disappoint all
those who tried to spoil their future by refusing to meet
the necessary and legitimate demands of the teachers.

While we understand the fact that some of the problems we
encountered in this regard during the year were necessary
issues, we however believe that if there was any
institution that conducted itself disparately reckless is
our Government during the public sector strike – at the
same time we think the problems resulting from hosting the
world cup were necessary considering the importance of the
2010 world cup for our country.

In the most worrying are the problems our students and
teachers experienced in the hands of the Provincial
government in the North west, which instead of resolving in
a proper manner the issues facing the education sector in
the province it chose to worsen the situation and failed
dismally to deal with corruption which led to a number
difficulties faced by our teachers and students.

The SACP in the province wishes again to congratulate the
COSATU affiliated South African Democratic Teachers Union
(SADTU) for being able to provide leadership through all
the difficulties we had in this sector.
Unlike other Mickey Mouse unions, SADTU defied problems and
challenges thus being able to be ready to face exams hand
in hand with our learners – that is why as the SACP we hope
and wish that passing percentage this year will be better
than ever before and it will continue to improve with or
without problems.
