*CWU SUPPORT SWAZI PEOPLE FOR THEIR QUEST FOR DEMOCRACY* * *
*12 April 2011* The Communication Workers Union (CWU) support and hold up the solidarity with the people of Swaziland in seeking freedom and democracy in that country. CWU encourages all South Africans and International countries to join the Swaziland Solidarity Network [SSN] and support the people of Swaziland to demolish the corrupt regime that’s looting from the poor working people. South Africans have just celebrated Human rights day and are about to celebrate freedom day in the next coming weeks. This to some, was a dream, a fantasy never to come true. But through solidarity, a broader vision of what is good and fair to the people, we conquered. Swazi people must be brave enough and not threaten by the intimidation of Swazi government in arresting leaders of that country. Swazi people must be inspired by people of Egypt and Tunisia. Swazi people must also be inspired by Chris Hani, Solomon “Kalushi” Mahlangu, Tsietsi Mashinini, Nelson Mandela, Ruth First and many other martyrs of the struggle who stood up and leave their comfort and fight the minority regime. They must also be motivated by the 1976 Soweto appraisal in South Africa when the youth of this country went to the street to fight the apartheid regime. As CWU we want to tell the world that we are not apologetic in our support and solidarity for the April 12 Swazi Uprising as we will join The South African Communist Party [SACP], our federation COSATU, the Swaziland Solidarity Network [SSN] and civil society in a PROTEST action at the Swaziland Embassy in Pretoria in support of the April 12 Swazi uprising. *Contact:* *Matankana Mothapo, National Spokesperson - 0827590900* * * -- You are subscribed.
