This must be a huge predicament for some workers who love soccer yet they would be happy to honour the day properly. I support the idea that no professional soccer match should coincide with the May Day celebration. Not only if it's Chiefs/Pirates/Sundowns; it should not take place even when it is Golden Arrows vs Vasco Da Gama. Let this be a lesson for the unions to proactively engage the PSL, SABC and Supersport in the future. As of now, the proposal is rather too late, given the ticket sales, teams schedules, PSL schedule, broadcast rights etc which have all been concluded. But I support it fully, for the future.
