*ANC will win elections: Sadtu * *Sapa, The Times, Johannesburg, 17 May 2011*The ANC will have an "overwhelming" victory in the local government elections, teachers' union Sadtu predicted on Tuesday.
"Sadtu believes the ANC is the only party that fully understands the plight of the workers and the poor, and is prepared to bring changes and better the lives for all in SA," spokesman Mugwena Maluleke said in a statement.
"After weeks of Sadtu organisers and the leadership engaging in the elections campaign, the union is more than confident that the ANC will win the elections."
Union organisers visited Mpumalanga, the Western and Eastern Cape and the North West recently to help the ANC in its campaigning.
