*CWU CERTAIN WITH ANC VICTORY!!!!!*
**

The Communication Workers Union (CWU) has noted with keen interest campaigns of all political parties for local government elections for 18 May 2011.

The leadership of CWU has been visiting all nine provinces in all corners of the country communicating with its members to vote correctly, and voting correctly is voting African National Congress (ANC).

We are encouraging our members and their families to take solace from the track-record of the ANC in the past 17 years of our democracy in delivering services to the overwhelming majority of the working people. These ranges from progressive labour laws and labour market policies to delivery of millions of houses, water, sanitation and the whole range of other municipal services to the African Majority in particular; and black people in general who have been at the receiving end of apartheid and colonialism of a special type.

We are certain and clear that the daughters and sons of apartheid architects (the Hellen Zilles, the Steve Hofmeyers and those spoilt brats under the Afriforum Family) will never see the light of the day in these local government elections. Their dream was shattered by the masses of our people in 1994 when ANC was voted in to power under the leadership of Nelson Rolihahla Mandela. They must be reminded that the ANC liberated them as well as interacting with black people has become a privilege in a democratic society.

As CWU, we would like to urge all our members and workers in general to go and exercise their democratic right to vote for ANC. We urge all South Africans not to disappoint Walter Sisulu as the day 18 May is the birthday of this gallant and brave leader of the ANC who compromised his comfort to fight the apartheid regime to archive the fruit of freedom that we are relishing today.

Voting ANC is to acknowledge the role that Nelson Mandela, Walter Sisulu, Winnie Mandela, Chris Hani, Solomon Mahlangu, Mzala Nxumalo and many heroes and heroines played to outcast the evil apartheid regime.
