Political office bearers in government at all levels cannot be union activists because they represent employer. They are not governed by normal labour laws as does employees employed under Public Service Act.
Their conditions of work are not subject to a bargaining chamber including their remunarations. Their salaries are subject to remunaration commission headed by the Judge approve by President. When fired no union can file for review and declare a dispute.
