Cdes ANC is a liberation movement, therefore we cannot afford as workers to
leave it to other classes to rule it. We are in this crossroads because we
allowed national petty bourgeios in collaboration with
imperialists/capitalists to turn ANC in to animal of state resources
plundering & corruption. When we take over the ANC it should not be solely
to defend any leader of the ANC but to impose working class hegemony.

However despite the taking over of the ANC, what is far more critical is the
issue the President of the federation raised in his political sypnosis. He
said the ANC has reaffirmed itself as the leader of the alliance & the
strategic political centre. The question that arises is, under such
circumstances what becomes of the alliance & what is its role in advancing
the NDR. We want an alliance that can mobilise society behind common popular
programme. An alliance whose authority will not rely on the mercy of
incubent leadership of the ANC but an alliance whose authority is
institutionalized.

The issue of strategic political centre is very key, it stand between
workers/communists & their dream of a socialist South Africa.
