As blogger eastern619 says, “In this country, we do a good job educating our kids about the civil rights movement especially when we focus on the historical confrontations between blacks and whites. But we don’t do a good job explaining to our kids about the historical battles between workers and capitalists, and how our ancestors had to fight to secure basic privileges such as the eight hour work day. Now, that mistake looks like it’s starting to haunt the American left.” What do you think? “Recommend” the post and share your thoughts here: http://bit.ly/oelHh0. In Solidarity, Liz Shuler Secretary-Treasurer, AFL-CIO P.S. Hundreds of young workers, student activists and leaders will come together in Minneapolis Sept. 29–Oct. 2 for the second annual AFL-CIO Next Up Young Workers Summit.
