With over 50 chapters written by contributors from approximately 20 countries, *Sparking a Worldwide Energy Revolution: Social Struggles in the Transition to a Post-Petrol World* (2010) is a map of struggles to shape new energy systems. A former visiting fellow at the Institute of Advanced Studies in Science, Technology and Society in Graz, Austria; Abramsky is a Ph.D. student in the sociology department at the SUNY Binghamton. He also does research at the Fernand Braudel Centre. When he studied in Graz, Abramsky received the Manfred-Heindler Award for Energy and Climate Change Research. In 2006, he was a coordinator of the Danish-based World Wind Energy Institute at the Nordic Folkecenter for Renewable Energy; an international initiative in non-commercial renewable energy education, involving different renewable energy centre’s around the world. Recently, Abramsky was coordinating Towards a Worldwide Energy Revolution, a global project that aims to bring together people from a wide range of organisations and struggles to build long term alliances in order to prepare for an anti-capitalist transition to a new energy system. -- You are subscribed.
