SACP NW PROVINCE HELD IT’S EXTENDED PWC MEETING Sunday, 07 August 2011 The South African Communist Party (SACP) North West province held its well expected Provincial Working Committee meeting on Sunday, August 07, 2011, in which a range of issues were discussed and debated.
Amongst the issues the SACP debated it is the manner in which the SACP National leadership is being attacked by politically mentally disturbed drummajorrestts of the emerging black capitalist class in our society. The SACP focused on need of preparing for the District congresses and organizational development in the province, however, the issue that took grand stand was the attack on the SACP by the ANC, COSATU and some mis-directed cadres in the ANC YL and COSATU. As the SACP in the North West province we would like to clarify few questions so that this tendency of trying to hijack the NDR is not being used in the ANC as the basic platform on which to tell lies. Firstly, we are not a Communist department of the ANC and thus we would not fold our arms when our leaders are attacked without any political or ideological provocation. As we do not agree with the artificial call for nationalization we are not making a mistake, but certain that nationalization should be about and for the working and the poor and not silly desperate tender-preneurs. As the SACP in the North West we call on the ANC PEC in the North West to take serious the ANC and the Alliance by ensuring thorough investigations into the failure to register candidates for wards in the province. For the SACP in the North West province, the call by the Youth League to nationalize mines is nothing but a proxy or designed nominations towards the ANC Mangaung congress comes 2012. As the SACP North West province we are highly confused as to the conduct of the COSATU General Secretary Comrade Zwelinzima Vavi, by being loudly silent on his nominations as the SACP General Secretary by Mbuyiselo Ngwenda District, especially considering his public pronouncement during COSATU congress, for his un-availability for both the ANC Secretary General and SACP General Secretary, the fundamental concern is why after he is nominated officially by the Mbuyiselo Ngwenda district does he accept the nominations if it is not opportunistic? So we are not impressed or perplexed by Malema’s grand-stand attitude in the media.
