Malema matters in the Sunday papers

There is plenty of comment but relatively little that is new concerning the Malema matters in the Sunday papers (Sunday Times, City Press, Sunday Independent and Google, 21 August 2011).

What there is includes:
  • The report in the City Press that ANC YL National Office bearers Lamola, Magaqa and Mabe will be charged by the ANC tomorrow with disciplinary offences against the ANC.
  • The report in the City Press that On-Point Engineering, owned by Ratanang Trust, paid at least R420,000 towards the funding of the ANC YL NGC in August 2010, with the suggestion that this would constitute a corrupt channeling of government money into ANC YL coffers, because On-Point Engineering makes its money from government contracts.
  • The repeated use by Malema of Mohamed Dada’s jet-plane, documented by the Sunday Times, with the suggestion that this would constitute a benefit in kind, and therefore a bribe.
