*YCL Ruth First Commemoration Activities*

The Young Communist League of South Africa [Ufasimba] will as part of
commemorating its late National Secretary Comrade Ruth First hold the
following activities:


*September 7*

As part of our campaign against drugs YCLSA National Secretary Buti Manamela
will address learners about the dangers of drugs, alcohol and substance
abuse:

Venue: *Zwelibanzi High School, Umlazi*

Date: *September 7, 2011*

Time: *8am*

DJ Siyanda and artist from the Afrotainment artist will grace the event.


*September 8 and 9*

The YCL in conjunction with the Dora Tamana Cooperative Centre [DTCC] will
hold a two day training for cooperatives from Kwazulu-Natal. Fourteen
cooperatives from different sectors will form part of the training

Venue: *1st Floor SADTU HOUSE, Durban CBD*

Date: *September 8 and 9, 2011*

Time: *9am*

3rd Annual Ruth First Games


The YCLSA will hold its annual Ruth First games in the Township of Umlazi
and the following activities will take place:


·         Fun Run

·         Basketball

·         Indigenous games

·         Netball and

·         Soccer


 Venue: *King Zwelithini Stadium*

Date: *September 11, 2011*

Time: *8am*

Ethekwini Mayor James Nxumalo will address the award and closing ceremony.
