*CWU URGES ALL ITS MEMBERS TO GO OUT IN NUMBERS ON THE 5TH OCTOBER 2011* * * *30/09/2011* The Communication Workers Union (CWU) urges all its members in all provinces to go out and participate in COSATU marches against labour brokers on the 5 th October 2011. CWU is one of the Unions that have been affected by the cancer of labour brokering. Our workers in the South African Post Office (Sapo), Telkom, Vodacom, CellC, MTN etc, have suffered too long since the public hearings that were conducted last year 2010 where masses of our people agreed that Labour brokers must be banned. As CWU, we have made a lot of noise around this matter but those in power seem to be wishy–washy an ambivalent when labour brokers have to be banned, whereas when the scorpions had to be banned we saw decisive leadership on the issue. We believe that the time is now to play hardball with our class enemies, walk the walk and stop theorising. We believe that now is our time to deliver a clear and unambiguous message to our government that we will not retreat when it comes to demanding the banning of Labour brokers. *Contact: * * * *Matankana Mothapo, National Spokesperson - 0827590900 * -- You are subscribed.
