Still bubbling! It should be clear what led to such crisis and what has to be done, not sympathy as it has been the case. Are we going to statements instead of policy directives?
COSATU in NW is losing its character, and consistently fades away. The level of Working Class Consciousness its worrying where real aspects of workers are not been addressed but compromised while in the face value impression exhibited by labour aristocrats is that they are up in hand against dominating class, which remains fallacy. Its painstaking to learn that workers in this province no longer want to associate themselves with COSATU particularly understewardship of Provincial Secretary. I appeal that he consider addressing real aspects of workers than petty and narrow minded objectives of counter-revolutionaries. I am still shocked, obvious through utterances made by PS and the current resignations from unions and considering joining opposing trade unions. Its sad and so sad. I pause! Vanguard. COSATU NW demands alternative accommodation for Warders 19 October 2011 The Congress of South African Trade Union and its affiliate POPCRU has learned with shock about the burning of 50 official quarters at the Mogwase prison. COSATU would like to send a message of sympathy to the staff members who have lost all their belongings. COSATU calls on the community and the business society to assist where they can to help these workers. We also want to thank the Sun City management for assisting with beds for those workers who lost all that belongs to them including IDs, bank cards, clothes and many other important things. COSATU calls on the department of correctional services to provide all the staff members with alternative accommodation until the situation has been restored to normal. COSATU further calls on the department of labour to do an inspection in the area and that all workers must refuse to stay in an unsafe place; all workers who are affected must be taken for counselling by a qualified person. We are also calling the management of the correctional service to stop its attitude against workers by forcing workers to stay in unsafe places. The safety of our members and their lives come first.
