That being the facts, the ANCYL is wrong for choosing such at timing, they
should have went for an earlier or a later date.

A ‘Youth for Jobs’ campaign 26 to 28 October

Dear VC,

Klaas and his factionalist-likes manufactured or subscribe to the ideas that
form his accusations. Mafika clarified already, the programme was inaugurated
May 2010. Early this year, in the last week of April we issued a statement
stating that we will convene, among others, the 2nd Jobs for Youth Summit.
Klaas, and his factionalist-likes thinks the President and Deputy President of
the Republic of whom both will speak at the summit can just be invited through
Bluetooth at a gathering to be held in few days. No. It takes months to secure
them, not least the Ministers and the many other organisations of young people
which will take part. And u see VC, the date was fixed even before the YL
decided on its date for its march following its congress. In fact the YL
attended PYA secretariat in August where too the YCL communicated about the
summit. Now, just because there's a march we must contact all whom it may
concern, President and Deputy included, in writing and tell them: "We are
sorry, we are not serious about the summit and consolidating a programme and
broad consensus to deal with youth un- and under-employment. Instead we are
going to a march and, when we come back, the problems would be resolved."
Nonsense. We will not do that foolish thing.

We respect the right of the youth league to decide and proceed with its
programmes. But this doesn't mean we give up ours to do so. Where we have a
joint programme, that's great. Where we don't have, as allies we remain
independent formations with none reserving the right to determine another's
programme.

"K"lass is empty. Him and his factional-likes only see one way: "YCL must
revise the date for the summit". They don't see it takes less time to apply for
a march, days, not months that the thing can be thought the other way around
too.

Let Klaas go to the march. He's a right to do so. But that doesn't override the
right of YCL, other PYA formations and many other youth formations to attend a
summit and reflect, not just receive narratives. The summit will update 2010
and produce new programme, identifying responses and action to be further
undertaken on a wide range on the causes, consequences, challenges and
opportunities, weaknesses and threats of youth unemployment.

Period!

A ‘Youth for Jobs’ campaign 26 to 28 October

Cde Alex,

Please inform:

If the Jobs for Youth Summit was planned from last year, at what stage were
the ANC YL formally invited to it? Or at least, at what stage did the ANC YL
become aware of the dates of the YCL's Jobs for Youth Summit?

Because I see that our comrade Klaas is starting an accusation that the YCL
Jobs for Youth Summit is organised late and as a counter to the ANC YL
so-called, but multi-agenda'd, Economic Freedom March (of which COSATU
claims to know what the demands are, but no-one else has ever seen them
listed, because they are unlimited and constantly adjusted for the purpose
of catching headlines).

Of course when it comes to the ANC YL, we know that in their own minds *
everything* belongs to them, in the same exclusive way as their own
bourgeois property belongs to them. According to them, Chris Hani belongs to
them and the vanguard role in relation to the working class belongs
exclusively to them (which some COSATU leadership appear to be comfortable
with); and so forth without any limit.

But what are the facts Cde Alex? Can you refute Cde Klaas's accusation that
the YCL cooked up this Jobs for Youth Summit just to draw attention away
from the ANC YL? Or is that not worth doing?

VC
