*YCL National Committee Lekgotla for the year 2012 commences * The Lekgotla will receive and discuss the Political, Organisational and financial reports and these will used to evaluate and review organizational work of 2011 and guide the organizational work for the year 2012 as part of the Programme of Action development. It will further deal with the analysis of the political in the country and abroad. Among other things, the National Committee Lekgotla will focus on the Implementation Plan of the following key issues:- · Jobs for Youth Summit Resolutions · University-Based Branch Summit Resolution · Joe Slovo Right to Learn Campaign (Making Education Fashionable) · Free Sanitary Towels Campaign and · Political Education (Youth for Socialism and Socialism for the Youth) The Lekgotla will have the pleasure of receiving a key note address by the Deputy General Secretary of the South African Communist Party [SACP] Cde Jeremy Cronin. The Director General in the Department of the Higher Education and Training Gwebinkundla Qonde will present, to the plenary, the Green Paper on Higher education and training. A post Lekgotla Press Conference will be convened to communicate the deliberations and resolutions of the meeting.
