Greetings cdes

Sometimes I get puzzled. Puzzled not by what one is saying but the
reasoning behind some pronouncements. I respect cde Sdumo Dlamini as a
president of COSATU, but at times he continues to fail us. If this article
quotes him correctly he argues that *“ANC Youth League leader Julius Malema
should not have been allowed to address Cosatu's march on Wednesday*”- (The
Times). And the basis of not allowing Julius Malema (ANCYL President) is
that he is still fighting his expulsion from the ANC. He goes on to say "*we
don't want to be seen to be involved and taking sides in these internal
processes in the ANC*”.

I wonder since when can allowing the standing President of ANCYL (an
alliance body) ever be seen as taking sides. No matter what internal issues
that a member of the organization might be going thru they still remain
members up until all constitutional provisions (including appeal process)
has been exhausted. The ANCYL has no other president other than Mr Malema,
meaning any suggestions that he be treated any more or less should be an
issue of concern. The decision to allow the president of youth league to
speak was a correct and principled one. So what cde Sdumo is suggesting is
both narrow and divisive to say the least.

The issue that cde President ought to deal with in relation to the march is
who invited DA and where did such a person get the mandate to do so?
