AFRICAN NATIONAL CONGRESS YOUTH LEAGUE PETER MOKABA REGION
The battle for the soul of the ANC through the ANCYL in Peter Mokaba Region. Introduction. Upon critical times in history the ANCYL has been placed in the core phase of ensuring that the tradition of the Giant liberatory Movement is secured, realised and portrayed as the ANCYL never confused reality with appearance. Since its formation in 1944, the role of the ANCYL was not only to be in the fore front of waging the defiance against the apartheid regime, but played a pivotal role in ensuring that the ANC remains intact both in terms of studying its operations during those difficult times in our people‘s lives and otherwise. Amidst all the unique techniques it brought to the people who had an interest of witnessing the downfall of the one man‘s government, the ANCYL maintained the highest standard of political consciousness which ensured that the ANC does not loose dexterity in as far as ensuring that its visions are realised. These is the only organization which comprehend that “the path of the revolutionary is very thorny, sometimes you have to walk slow to accommodate the masses and sometime you walk very fast to sense the footsteps of your trackers,” With these approaches the liberatory movement sustained the very impetus it pursued during its formation. The soul of the ANC can be defended by gusty, sturdy and hub approach, an advance which contains militant articulations, the type of engagements which confronts unholy attitudes opposed to its nature and the dignity it beholds. As a radical youth formation, the African National Congress Youth League is a body of clear opinions which emphasises drastic manner of ensuring that the lives of our people are improved with a view of the creation of a non competitive environment and rallying young people behind processes of social transformation and shaping our communities to being as joyous and peaceful as supposed to be, in the main ensuring affordability through youth economic development initiatives such as decent employment and participation in the business mainstream, hence our current call to action, “Youth Economic Freedom in our Lifetime.” Apart from the fact that the revolution is safe in the hands of the ANCYL, this youth vanguard embodies authenticities which are accompanied by clarified contradictions not only by virtue but by millions of lives it inspires, mouthful utterances has for ages cemented the sentiments that the ANCYL has towards ensuring that the people it leads and make life possible for, are not mislead. On disciplinary processes between the ANC and ANCYL The Youth League of the ANC in the Peter Mokaba Region acknowledges with sobriety that Political correctness can never purify consequences of intentional undertaking and duly accepts results of unprejudiced verdicts, hence it is our primary responsibility to ensure that the notion by the NDC to Expel the ANCYL President Cde. Julius Malema is met with mass reject. We rise in a confrontational stance due to the observed reality that the Cde. Malema is a victim of someone‘s endeavour for second term, thus the charges levelled against him are purely an emphasis of personality cult within the Congress movement, with desires to murky the relevance of the ANCYL. Understanding Parker J Palmer writing that: “Our inner world has a reality and a power that can keep us from being victims of circumstances and compel us to take responsibility for our own lives as they divide us.” It is thus with these words that we stand divergent to the move by the power hungry to expel our own leaders, as all the utterances of the NEC of the ANCYL are a direct implementation of the Resolutions of the 24th National Conference as a mandatory body and a sharpener to the operations of the organization. These acts expose their failed ambitions to have President Malema removed by the said conference so much that their walk to Mangaung is matched with that of walking to the leisure park. It is with this reality and many more that the ANCYL is willing and prepared to set everything aside to ensure that the justice for the ANCYL leadership is not tempered with, the same shall not have happened only for them but for anyone who is treated in this motherless manner, motivated by the African Proverb that says: “until lions could tell their tales, the story of the hunt shall always glorify the hunter.” The ANCYL in Peter Mokaba will always ensure that we glorify our beliefs. This message is also open to the mighty Political Analysts or any spectacled intellectual in offices of higher decision making in government or elsewhere. We reserve no room for eluding from raising our views on issues which directly cripples both the ANC and the society in general and are consistent to kicking the dog until its handler comes out. The upcoming April ANCYL Limpopo Provincial Conference. The term of office for the Provincial Executive Committee as elected during the April months of the year 2010 at the Makhado Multi Purpose Community Centre as mandated politically is lapsing, as it will mark a precise glow of the two year term as defined by the constitution of the ANCYL as amended and adopted by the 24th National Congress of the ANCYL as held at Gallagher Estates in Midrand. The ANCYL in Peter Mokaba Region wishes to extend its gratitude on the leadership provided and displayed by the current PEC as led by Comrade Frans Moswane and the collective, its programmatic being has cemented the organic foundation of the ANCYL that amassed its formation. The character and nature of every conference is the renewal of political mandate, assessment of its leadership and redefining its posture on issues affecting the society and particularly the ANC. It is with this anthology of principles that we bid the current provincial executive committee farewell, and equally adhering to principles of continuity and replacement as two of the officials are graduating from the ANCYL due to the fact that they age has left the premise as determined by the categorization of a young person as being from the age of 14 to 35 years. We therefore as the region wishes to join fellow four regions in the Limpopo Province (Waterberg, Sekhukhune, Mopani and Vhembe) after processes of BGMs, launching of branches and subsequent nominations of leadership as a prerequisite towards any electing conference to ensure that branches are at par with conference processes. We therefore need to equally add flesh to the already existing body on the officials leadership elect as follows: Chairperson: Cde. Rudzhani Ludere Deputy Chairperson: Cde. Regina Molokomme Secretary : Cde. Jacob Lebogo Deputy Secretary: Cde. Romeo Mogohle Treasurer: Cde. Kgomotso “Kabila” Malatjie We shall combine our strength with all the members of the ANCYL delegated to carry their mandates to the Provincial Conference to ensure that we deliver a united conference and that the view on leadership is actualised. Leadership preference towards the envisaged ANC Peter Mokaba Regional Conference. ANCYL has openly raised preferences on leadership of the ANC for durations in history and making it a point that we defend the ANC from vultures who are against political stability. Conclusions were reached based on the soul, defence and the resuscitation of the Fading tradition of the ANC countrywide, we need Peter Mokaba to maintain its relevance. These preferred leaders are capable hands which shall never deceived the membership or perform in any conduct which shall compromise the stance of the Liberation Movement or contravenes the principles as encapsulated in the Constitution and the Code of Conduct of the ANC and those of the ANCYL. The consensus was/ is not based on material gains whatsoever but has the significance of the community which the ANC does lead in and around the region. The following were the line of match of the ANCYL as the incoming REC of the ANC who will emerge out of the electoral processes in the upcoming Regional Congress: Chairperson: Cde. Lawrence Mapoulo Deputy Chairperson: Cde. Serite Segoloane Secretary : Cde. James Mankge Deputy Secretary: Cde. Paulina Makgatho Treasurer: Cde. Noko Ntsewa This leadership won the confidence of the ANCYL with the meticulous sense that young people are the future and nothing or anybody shall impede us from making sure that this preferred leadership emerges victorious out of the envisaged Regional Congress. The proposed leadership is the token of unity, solidity and the only optimism the ANCYL has on the ANC in the Peter Mokaba Region hence the political motivation on the names as said remains in the heartbeat of the entire membership of the ANCYL. We however as an organization counsel our members and leaders to go back to their respective ANC branches to ensure that they become delegates to both the Regional and Policy conference, as a means to consent our calls to action on leadership preference and policy amendments, such that our journey to Economic Freedom is smoothed.
