The fact that the ANC conceded in the last minute is worrying and begs a question as to what extent does Luthuli communicate and influence runnings (operationally) of the State machinery. Again it exposes the futile relationship between the state organ and the Judiciary. We need to go back to the drawing table, if a court can easily halt Government/administrative decisions then its a VERY LONG walk to freedom. This will undoubtedly have severe financial implication given the fact that parties need to be paid. This obviously has to come from Treasury(unbudgeted for) subsequently hitting tax revenue.
