This is also to inform you that the SACP Linda Jabane District has been pressing us for a long time to re-locate the CU meetings to their office at Neil Aggett House, 90 President Street, Johannesburg.
The arrangements for this move are now complete.Therefore, after discussion, we have decided to make the move following the completion of the current CU course, the final session of which is scheduled for next Wednesday, 27 June 2012. That will be our last in the VMCC.
The live sessions of the Communist University are fundamental to its nature. This has been so since our beginning, in 2003. The question of where to have these meetings is by no means a minor one. At times it has been a major difficulty for us just to get a venue. It has been a matter of survival for the CU.
That is why this expression of our thanks to you is much more than a formality. We owe you for our survival over this period of time. We were lost and you sheltered us.
We would especially like to express our appreciation of the kindness of all the NUMSA and VMCC staff during this time.
